𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧 & 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧
This project is my most personal and detailed work yet. Heavily inspired by the sweeping, vibrant landscapes of World of Warcraft - specifically the lush greenery and rolling hills of Stormsong Valley - my goal was to build a world that felt alive, rich with history, and highly functional.

Rather than just creating a static backdrop, I treated the environment as a silent narrator, using composition, texture painting, and prop placement to guide the player:
________
𝐇𝐚𝐧𝐝-𝐒𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐝 & 𝐏𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐓𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧: Every ridge, path, and valley was manually sculpted and hand-painted from scratch. I used terrain texturing to define player psychology - shifting the canvas from warm, safe, inviting tones in sanctuary hubs to harsher, cold, and desaturated textures when encroaching on danger zones.
________
𝐒𝐮𝐛𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐜𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐖𝐚𝐲-𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠: I deliberately aligned vegetation, angled fences, and placed fallen trees to subtly point toward key Points of Interest (POIs). This ensures players are naturally guided through the level layout without relying on intrusive UI elements.
________
𝐅𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐋𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥 𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧: Since this serves as the official showcase for the Spark Framework, the layout is split into intentional mechanical zones. I designed a dedicated circular sparring arena specifically to test lock-on and strafing, a linear combat lane for targeting, and sweeping elevations to demonstrate the character controller's traversal physics.
